Radon Testing in Colorado
Why should I get a get a radon test as part of my home inspection?
All residences in Colorado should undergo radon testing. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has classified radon as the second leading cause of lung cancer in North America, second only to smoking, and the cause of 20,000 deaths yearly. In the United States, one in fifteen homes test positive for high radon levels, but in Colorado, that number spikes to one in three. This is why a radon test is a crucial part of your home inspection in Colorado.

Radon is produced deep underground as a byproduct of the decay of radioactive materials such as uranium or plutonium. It penetrates your home through the foundation, basement, or crawl space where your family breathes it in.
